[ he gives frank another ok sign and leans back against the pillows again. he'll be on his device when frank comes back, tapping away at his screen and scrolling through the daily bullshit on the network. maybe getting knocked out by the vaccine had its uses after all, he doubts he'd have been useful in the dust storm. ]
[ he nods as he sets the tea down within reach and takes his seat back against the headboard, slumped forward towards micro. ] Hot. [ the tea. he pulls out his device. ]
i slept through the storm but that's what i hear. that mean something to you?
[ the tea is hot but it feels nice in his hands, warming his fingers. he takes a few sips before setting his device down in his lap, typing with one hand. ]

[ this is the first frank's hearing about this, which really shouldn't be so surprising. micro is too damn smart for his own good sometimes, and sick with nothing else to do he knows he's been researching all night, every night. he can't stop being who he is anymore than frank can. ]

[ even while sick he can't stop thinking about anything and everything, can't turn off his brain even if he wants to. it doesn't help that he knows he's useless physically, that everyone, even the kids can break him in half if they wanted to. he keeps his mind running because it's the only thing he can do. ]
pretty sure the mechanism that makes you wrong is broken [ so he's not about to discount micro's opinions, even if they're wacky; and even if he's feverish. speaking of, frank presses the back of his hand to the other man's forehead to try and gauge where he's at. ]
[ he doesn't fight it when frank checks his forehead, still slumped against his pillows. his skin is clammy but his fever has gone down at least, despite his fatigue. he always looks like shit though, so that's nothing new. ]
[ a gentle tease, smiling softly at his friend. this will make him safe -- safer than he's ever been able to keep him. he owes jess yet another debt of gratitude for that. which... he should probably update micro on that whole sitch, huh? ]
[ his smile turns miiiiildly goofy before he banishes it from his face altogether. a wan sadness fills in for it and he draws one knee up to his chest where he's perched on the edge of the bed, looking down at his leg. ]
[ here we go. david tilts his head a little, a brief frown crossing his face when he notices the way his smile drops. he nudges his toes against frank's side, gently prompting him to go on. ]
[ as usual frank castle has no idea how women work. he squirms a little under micro's scrutiny though, knowing he should just spit it out. or type it up. wtfever ] we kissed
[ he narrows his eyes as he looks back up at david, what are you his therapist??? ]
like shit. i think she wants to hook up? now that i'm immune. [ HOOK UP. such a hip dad. he looks uncertain about the whole thing though, including the turn of phrase. ]
[ you come to him with all your problems all the time so yes???? but wow this is also crashing fast into awkward territory, even as david looks back at him with the same uncertainty. ]
[ there's this look on david's face for a moment where his eyes light up like a kid on christmas day, the fatigue melting away briefly to be replaced by the only kind of joy and recognition a comics nerd can get. ]
